The Nepal Forum of Environmental Journalists collaborated with NYOF to obtain very moving, detailed depictions of the lives of indentured servants. This footage has been edited into a 9-minute video and a more thorough 36-minute video. Both feature scenes of a street play created by formerly bonded girls, and interviews with girls about their experiences as indentured servants.
Since these videos were made, NYOF has virtually eliminated bonded servitude from the Dang and Deukhari valleys. Friends of Needy Children (FNC) is NYOF’s partner organization in Nepal that is implementing the Indentured Daughters Program.
