Sita's Story | ".....the country is ours and if we die without doing anything for the country, our life would be just meaningless."

Going to school was the golden opportunity for me in my life. It was because of NYOF/FNC I got that valuable opportunity. At that time when I was not going to school my family's economic condition was miserable. When we had problem even to feed ourselves, going to school was almost impossible and it was indeed a dream. Moreover, my father was a drunkard and he would shout at us and our mother almost everyday. He used to beat and torture my mother every time he was drunk. Because of that, my mother sent two of my sisters to local NGO and she approached to another NGO for me and my younger sister. After one year we were referred to NYOF/FNC. Since then, my life took a drastic change. My dream of going to school became a reality then. I was so happy and I cannot explain how happy I was. Because of the valuable support I have been able to study up to grade 7 now.

I have already thought about my future also. I am proud that I am a poor Nepalese but I have a strong commitment to devote myself for the welfare of poor Nepalese. I will become a doctor and help the poor in remote parts of the country. I want to be famous for the service I will render to the society. I will put my whole effort to make my aim successful. In that course the support I have been getting from NYOF/FNC and my family is really valuable. I hope this support will continue till I will be able to fulfill my dreams of helping the country and its people. At last I would like to say that, the country is ours and if we die without doing anything for the country, our life would be just meaningless. And if we do something for the country we will be remembered for years and years.
